Rare Disease Day takes place on the last day of February each year. 

The main objective of Rare Disease Day is to raise awareness amongst the general public

and decision-makers about rare diseases and their impact on patients' lives

There are more than 300 million patients, each supported by

family, friends and a team of carers, that make up the rare disease

community worldwide. Over 6,000 different diseases.

1 in 20 people is affected by a rare disease.
